Maritime Career Talk

Maritime-Career-Talk
This coming September, we have our member of SWA Magdalene Boon, first lady Radio Officer in Southeast Asia, to share with us her experience about Life at Sea and a promotional talk about a Seafaring Career. It will be also beneficial to inform parents on what career entails if their child should decide on a career at sea.
Date : 2nd September 2014
Time : 3 – 6pm
Venue : The Living Room at The Arts House L2
Title of Talk : Martime Career Talk by Magdalene Boon
FREE ADMISSION
On a separate note, we would like to give our support to Magdalene on her creativeness and forte in making Lantern using red packets (Angpows). We would like to invite all to YMCA every Monday 3pm, Y Cafe on Level 4, to participate and try out lantern making while meeting and making new friends. Please bring your own stapler, scissors and angpow packets (Magdalene usually have some available to pass around if case for those we do not have)
I have included the participants of the first Silver Writing group as well as the second (current) Silver Writing group in this mail.
 * As this is a cafe, we are not allowed to bring own food and drinks.

All are welcome to participate in our upcoming sharing session, please RSVP to u3a.carol@gmail.com to reserve your seat.
We will also prepare reading materials for the reserved seats (if available for the session)
