Decoupage Art II – Crackle and other techniques

Programme Outline

Decoupage is a fun and easy way to decorate any objects such as household items, bags, furniture, with paper cutouts or beautiful European style napkins. It is a perfect way of beautifying plain, dull items or giving old ones a new breath of life! 
In this workshop, you will learn to decoupage using different or a combination of techniques such as the crackle, pop-up and lace effect on different mediums and surfaces to create beautiful master pieces. 

Note: This class is only applicable to those who have attended the beginner course or who knows basic decoupage

About Ms Pearl Tang
Pearl Tang has great passion in art & crafts. Her interests includes crochet, knitting, decoupage, polymer clay sculpture and jewellery-making. Pearl is a trained facilitator with WDA-ACTA certification and also a PA trainer. She has volunteered with some projects in the elderly centres. Pearl has over 10 years experience in the training/education industry and is currently doing part-time teaching in Business studies.

Decoupage on Glass Ornaments (May Wednesday 10am)

DECOUPAGE ART ON GLASS ORNAMENTS

A plain looking glass jar or plate can be transformed into something special and unique using decoupage! Bring out your creative flair by as you learn to compose designs beautifully with appropriate colours and different painting techniques – to make that perfect art piece for your home or for your loved ones.

About Ms Tang May Mey
May Mey is currently a Visual Arts Program Instructor with the Down Syndrome Association. Besides painting classes, she has also conducted various craft workshops such as Decoupage, Clay Art and Plaster-cast Sculpture for their members. May Mey has various experiences in conducting workshops at major events, outreach road shows, social and corporate events for organisations such as the Down Syndrome Association, Singapore Heart Foundation and Manulife Singapore. In addition, she also teaches art and craft for children aged 4 years to 7 years at Crestar.

Programme Outline

Decoupage is a fun and easy way to decorate any objects such as household items, bags, furniture, with paper cut-outs or beautiful European style napkins. It is a perfect way of beautifying plain, dull items or giving old ones a new breath of life!

During the sessions, you will be introduced to the techniques and materials of decoupage; and encourage to think out-of-the-box as you enjoy the fun and satisfaction in creating art projects with any everyday items. At the end of the class, you would be able to make your own masterpieces – which make perfect gifts for your loved ones and friends.
