Learn the basics of drawing portraits in this structured 4-session workshop. 
Topics covered include:

  • Approach to Realistic Portrait Sketching
  • Blocking-in
  • Features and Structuring
  • Keying the drawing and modelling forms
  • Refining and finishing

About Mr Alan Wong
Alan Wong picked up drawing as a hobby and mainly self-taught, while he was a young student. He enjoys Chinese calligraphy, water colour painting, oil painting and more, however, his personal favourite is portrait sketching. Prior to his retirement, he was a Facilities Manager for the Data Centres of several multinational companies handling electrical, cooling, fire and security systems and networks, etc. Now, retired at age 69, Alan actively volunteers in community services and provides free tuition to students from single parent family.

Time : 2pm to 4.30pm
Venue : 10 Square @ Orchard Central Level 10 
Fee payable : $17 per participant (includes a set of drawing materials)

Additional items to bring : 
Bag to contain A3-sized sketch pad and drawing materials

Class will start with minimum 8 participants
