Chinese Calligraphy Level I (Beginner) starts 6 January 2016

Chinese calligraphy, the writing of characters, is an art which has developed over many centuries in China. Join us for an introduction to Chinese calligraphy, its origin, styles and techniques. During the 4 sessions, there will be learning activities to engage participants to learn and enjoy Chinese calligraphy

Our trainer will explain and demostrate the basics you need to know, including the different type of materials, how you should hold the brush and how to produce different brush strokes.

Please note that materials are not provided, if you do not have your own set of materials, our trainer will purchase a set for you to start at $20 so you do not risk buying the wrong materials. Do bring along your own set if available, just need to pay for the full course fee.

祖籍  福建永春。毕业于南洋大学商学院。前南洋理工大学财务处处长。(1981-2009年任职于南洋理工大学) 。获北京清华大学书法艺术高级研究课程证书 (Professional Calligraphy Training from Tsing Hua University) 。

2010年开始为南洋理工大学孔子学院中华文化怡养研修课程及国际学生交流课程书法兼职导师;人民协会合格书法导师 (PA Trainer Ref Number: A120902695) 。
