Lettering Calligraphy and Creative Line Drawings

Lettering Calligraphy is an Art of decorative handwriting, added with simple lines drawing to create unique designs on greeting cards, bookmarks and book covers. Using simple repetitive lines as the form of Art Therapy to relieve stress, staying focus and inspirations.

Fun with Modelling Foam

Let’s have fun making colourful figurines! Faber-Castell Modeling Foam is a great, safe and fun way to create! Appreciate the basic principle of colours, helps to develop/enhance fine motor skills and have fun creating your own little “masterpieces”.

Oil Pastels Art

Oil-based pastel crayons offer wonderful opportunities of applying both extremely intense, strong colors and delicate pastel tones. Explore blending of individual colours to create new hues.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

MRT
[+] City Hall MRT Station (NS25 / EW13), and walk through CityLink Mall to reach Marina Square (turn right and get on the escalator when you see the directional signage indicating Marina Square). 
[+] Esplanade MRT Station (CC3), and access Marina Square via our basement integrated walkway – Marina Link which is located just next to Esplanade MRT Station. 
[+] Promenade MRT Station (CC4 / DT15) and walk through Millenia Walk to reach Marina Square (exit from Millenia Walk’s entrance facing Raffles Boulevard and get on the escalator to Level 2).

This coming September, we have our member of SWA Magdalene Boon, first lady Radio Officer in Southeast Asia, to share with us her experience about Life at Sea and a promotional talk about a Seafaring Career. It will be also beneficial to inform parents on what career entails if their child should decide on a career at sea.

On a separate note, we would like to give our support to Magdalene on her creativeness and forte in making Lantern using red packets (Angpows). We would like to invite all to YMCA every Monday 3pm, Y Cafe on Level 4, to participate and try out lantern making while meeting and making new friends. Please bring your own stapler, scissors and angpow packets (Magdalene usually have some available to pass around if case for those we do not have)
I have included the participants of the first Silver Writing group as well as the second (current) Silver Writing group in this mail.
 * As this is a cafe, we are not allowed to bring own food and drinks.
